Angela Gerber: Me alojo en el hotel Zaza esta semana por trabajo y me sorprendió gratamente lo hermosas, cómodas y espaciosas que son las habitaciones y lo atento que es el personal. El hotel en sí tiene un encanto del viejo mundo: de mal humor con arte divertido y ecléctico que cubre las paredes. Por la mañana se sirve café en cada planta y por la noche galletas. Casi lo olvido, también hay un gran restaurante llamado Monarch.
D Holmes: Era la primera vez que nos quedábamos aquí. El hotel estaba bien. En su mayor parte, las habitaciones son de tarifa estándar, pero la vista al Centro Médico es increíble. La vista a la piscina también es excelente, pero no pudimos verla de cerca.Todo el personal fue muy amable y cordial, especialmente los aparcacoches. Es posible que tengan los ayuda de cámara más amables y corteses que jamás haya conocido.Desafortunadamente, la experiencia se vio empañada por una mala experiencia en el restaurante The Monarch. Ya dejé una reseña sobre el restaurante, así que no entraré en ella aquí. Gracias al personal por hacer que nuestra experiencia fuera buena.
CallingColeen: Cuando llegamos allí, nos recibió un servicio de aparcacoches muy atento y profesional. Nos dieron información sobre cómo funcionaban sus servicios de valet y sus otras comodidades, como el servicio de transporte. ¡Dios mío, su opción de transporte es increíble! Lo llevarán a cualquier lugar dentro de un radio de 3 millas alrededor del hotel y solo tendrá que llamarlos nuevamente para que lo recojan. También pedimos comida de su restaurante y solicitamos que nos la entregaran en nuestra habitación. La espera en la comida fue más rápida de lo que esperaba y toda la comida, que eran las papas fritas al ajillo y los calamares, era muy buena. ¡La proporción de la comida era buena por el precio y ambos estaban deliciosos! Nuestras habitaciones estaban limpias y la cama y las almohadas parecían el paraíso. También teníamos una bonita vista fuera de nuestro balcón. En general, este lugar fue increíble y volvería aquí y lo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera pasar un fin de semana agradable para ver los museos o salir por la noche.Detalles destacados: El servicio de aparcacoches es increíble y su sistema de transporte es fantástico si no quieres conducir.
David Hurley: Located within steps of museums, park, Rice U and the zoo plus other scenic places, this is a great location. Room was a large suite with a great bathroom and shower and a fabulous view. Housekeeping service great in a long term stay. Restaurant has some great choices and a brunch available till 2 pm. All staff have great standard of service and treat you like family if you are a repeat or many day visitor so they get to know you. They have unique theme, suites which I did not see, but heard were great for special occasions. An eclectic throwback interior design sets this apart and makes for a comfortable environment I love. This is a classic Hollywood theme great hotel in Houston which is also close to the Medical centers and MD Anderson if you need that. Leanne Airy: Very impressed. After arriving to a two bed room that was too small to fit our family of four we asked if they had another room available. When we did not have the best customer service experience while asking for a room upgrade, we were contacted by Daisy on staff who went above and beyond to upgrade our room and make sure we were comfortable and had a good experience. It made all the difference. The views of the fountains were spectacular and I highly recommend trying to stay in one of the magnificent seven suites on the 12th floor. Daisy also addressed the valet of our rental car as well as the pool not being cleaned immediately. ZaZa definitely earned this 5 star review and were quick to want to rectify and remedy our concerns. I love the location here in the museum district. It’s clean and feels safe. It’s two minutes from Rice University and Rice Village. A great hotel all round. Thanks for making our stay special!
Bill Airy: Gorgeous eclectic hotel in a gorgeous downtown park location. Every inch of the place has been well thought out, designed, and decorated. Art and furniture are truly breathtaking. The Magnificent 7 Suite is truly a must have experience and worth whatever price they charge for it. The bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Staff have trouble answering/managing phone calls & guest requests, but the managers, like Daisy are well trained and equipped to make up for it. The place certainly holds a reputation with locals - not sure if it’s good or bad, but everyone seems to know of the hotel. Pool is not really kid-oriented, but is extremely adult-friendly and peaceful. Very nice cabanas, music and poolside service. It’s like staying in a contemporary film and art museum with an exclusive lounge/nightclub atmosphere. I definitely recommend.Habitaciones: Truly spectacular. Furnishings and architecture/woodworking are remarkable. Views from the Magnificent 7 suite we stayed in was startlingly beautiful.

Gail Barna: . El desayuno tampoco está incluido, cuesta $25 extra. Las habitaciones eran bonitas y la decoración era preciosa. Pero las tuberías del baño eran increíblemente ruidosas, cada vez que un vecino tiraba la cadena del inodoro o se duchaba, se oía un fuerte chirrido. Además el agua de la ducha no bajaba lo suficientemente rápido. Esperaba más de un hotel de 4 estrellas.

Morgan Patrick: at the front desk helped us with early check-in & handled many requests from our wedding guests. The bar service was also great; we shared a champagne toast in the lobby after the ceremony. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful. The rooms were great as well - the bathroom was very spacious, and there was plenty of room in the King room.

Randi Horn: I stayed here because I was going to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Transportation to and from the center could not have been easier. The room accommodations were perfect with a small fridge, a microwave, iron with ironing board and a hairdryer. Very clean place with a very decent breakfast every morning included. Donna Brown: This is a great downtown hotel. No smells in the room. Nice people working front desk. I had the incredible opportunity to spend a week at Hotel Derek with my fiancé, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the luxurious experience it offered. The outdoor pool was a refreshing oasis, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The room service was impeccable, ensuring our every need was met with promptness and a smile. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was truly remarkable. Hotel Derek provided us with a week of pure indulgence and relaxation, making our time there absolutely unforgettable. Without a doubt, this is a five-star destination that exceeded all expectations.
